10th Annual Gourmet & Grapes
Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s Gourmet & Grapes will return for its tenth year February 1 - 4, 2018 at The Sanctuary. The weekend-long culinary extravaganza will showcase award-winning wineries and chefs from the Lowcountry and beyond as they join together to raise support and awareness for the Medical University of South Carolina’s Hollings Cancer Center. Over the past nine years, $2.1 million has been raised for cancer research and patient support services.
Join us as we welcome celebrated culinary talents from years past as well as new friends during each of our events. We're proud to celebrate ten years of Gourmet & Grapes and all we have accomplished together in the fight against cancer.

Thursday, February 1
Gourmet & Grain
Mingo Point, 6:00 p.m.
Join us at beautiful Mingo Point for Gourmet & Grain, a BBQ and bourbon mashup. Featured chef and James Beard Best Chef Southwest nominee Steven McHugh of San Antonio's Cured and pitmasters from Home Team BBQ, Swig & Swine and Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q offer a variety of BBQ preparations, from whole hog to brisket. Accompanying these savory bites are all the fixin's provided by Kiawah's award-winning Cherrywood BBQ & Ale House. You'll also enjoy small-batch, hard-to-find bourbons presented by head distillers and bourbon cocktails prepared by local celebrity mixologists. Dance the night away with local bluegrass favorites, the Bluestone Ramblers.

An Epicurean Affair

It's a golden evening during this exclusive black-tie, four-course dinner in the Ocean Room! You've voted for the Golden Fork award winner in years past, now be dazzled as each of our winners returns for this exquisite meal. Beloved Chefs Colin Bedford (2014), Steven Greene and Joshua Hughes (2015), Ken Vedrinski (2016) and Ryley McGillis (2017) will wow you with their expertly-prepared culinary creations, perfectly paired with a world-class wine selection. After dinner, head to the lounge for a nightcap.

Gourmet Culinary Lunch

Chef Frank Lee is a Charleston legend, retiring from the kitchen in 2016. For this exclusive luncheon, Chef Lee is back to share his favorite recipes and culinary tips. This is an one-time opportunity to learn from one of the best and is an afternoon you won't soon forget! Chef Lee's book, The S.N.O.B. Experience, is the second highest selling cookbook in the Lowcountry, with signed copies available during this luncheon.

Fireside Chat
The Ocean Room Lounge, 2:00 p.m.
Following lunch, move to the Ocean Room lounge for a new offering- the Fireside Chat. During this candid discussion with chefs and vintners, have you burning questions answered and get a glimpse into the thoughts of the culinary elite. You'll also hear from Chef Steve McHugh, nominee for James Beard Best Chef Southwest 2016 who is renowned for his charcuterie program and commitment to local ingredients and is a proud cancer survivor. Learn how culinary and cancer intersected in 2013 with his diagnosis and how a road of surgeries and chemotherapy led to the opening of Cured, a nod to his cancer journey and culinary talents.

The Wine Odyssey Gala

Saturday evening’s signature Wine Odyssey Gala is a must-attend event. The talents of celebrated chefs from the Southeast will be showcased with wineries from around the nation. You don’t want to miss this exclusive opportunity to try renowned dishes and meet the chefs behind the masterpieces! Our silent and live auctions feature amazing trips, hard-to-find bourbons, and more. After the gala join us for a revamped nightcap where you'll dance the night away as the DJ spins your favorite tunes and mixologists prepare exclusive drinks.
