As South Carolina’s only academic medical ophthalmology center, the Medical University of South Carolina's Storm Eye Institute provides specialty care unique to the state and beyond. Offerings include South Carolina’s only ocular oncology service and only neuro-ophthalmology service; faculty and staff recognized internationally in their work to fight blindness in children and adults; and cutting-edge technology, including the state’s first LASIK vision correction service and now the state’s first laser-assisted cataract removal. The Storm Eye Institute is committed to providing friendly, accessible care for every patient, without regard to finance.
